Biographie :
Faith Evans est une chanteuse R&B qui commença à chanter le gospel dés l'âge de 2 ans dans l'église de sa paroisse.
Elle commence sa carrière musicale lorsque Color Me Badd la prend comme choriste. Elle est aussi accompagnatrice, puis co-parolière sur le second album de Mary J Blige "My life" (1994). En 1995, elle sort enfin son premier album "Faith".
En 1997, son mari, Notorious B.I.G, est assassiné. Pour lui rendre hommage, elle chantonnera le refrain de "I'll be missing you", accompagnée de P.diddy. Ce titre, adapté de "Every Breath You Take" de The Police, fera le tour du monde.
L'album "Keep The Faith" sort en 1998, opus très optimiste et produit par Babyface. Elle enchaine ensuite sur le titre "Heartbreak Hotel" en compagnie de Whitney Houston et Kelly Price. En 2001 sort son troisième opus "Faithfully", suivi en 2005 par "The First Lady" et par un album de Noël sorti la même année " A Faithfull Christmas".
